About
The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Notre Dame Student Chapter is dedicated to enhancing the academic and professional experiences of our members through a wide array of activities and events. On campus, we organize monthly meetings where students can connect with peers and professionals alike, host guest speakers from various fields of chemical engineering, and host social events to build a strong, supportive community.
A specialized team within our chapter is Chem-E-Car, where members have the chance to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world challenges in a hands-on environment. In Chem-E-Car, students work in teams to design and build a small, chemically powered car that competes in regional and national conferences. At the national conference, students also have the opportunity to present undergraduate research and network with other chemical engineering students and professionals from across the country.
We are excited to offer extensive career resources, industry insights, and professional development tools that support students’ growth throughout their careers. As a student-run organization, the Notre Dame AIChE Chapter depends on fundraising, donations, and sponsorships to continue providing valuable opportunities and to support our members' participation in conferences and events. If you or your organization is interested in supporting our chapter, please contact us.
